How To Disable Auto-Play Videos on Facebook

Automatically playing videos on Facebook is cool - for some.  But for those annoyed of auto-playing videos, just follow the next procedure. It's smooth to scroll while the videos are static.

Follow the easy walkthrough below to learn how to disable auto-play videos.


Using the Web

Click the inverted triangle on the upper right corner of your Facebook homepage. Click "Settings."

Click the "Videos" options on the lower left of the settings menu.

Under the "Videos Settings" you'll find the options "Auto-play Videos". Click the arrow and change your option to "Off".

Using the Facebook App on Android

Open your Facebook app and click the three horizontal lines at the upper right corner of your screen. Scroll down and Tap "App Settings."

On the Settings, tap "Videos play automatically."

Select "Off."

Now, you can scroll pages on Facebook without the annoying auto-playing videos.
